OPIRG York, FoodShare Toronto and Maloca Community Garden invite you to join them for a Food Justice Event Series this March.

SEED PACKING, FILM SCREENING & MEAL

  • Seed packing 4-5:30 p.m., film & meal 5:30-7:30 p.m.

  • About the film: Food for the Rest of Us is a feature film that presents 4 stories of people living life on their own terms, serving as leaders and role models who are lending their voice to the underdog and leading a revolution to a better world, from the ground up

AREPA MAKING & DISCUSSION

  • Tuesday, March 24th
  • 2-4 p.m.
  • Location TBD
  • We’ll cook arepas—a South American corn flatbread with filling— and learn and share stories together about how food can be a pathway for collective resistance. No cooking skills are needed—come ready to cook, listen, and reflect.
