A new cost-share funding intake will open February 2, 2026, under the Ontario On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF).

Agricultural organizations can access up to 100% cost-share funding to develop and deliver Knowledge Sharing Events (KSEs) between February 2, 2026, and March 31, 2027. These events support farmer adoption of OFCAF-eligible Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs).

What qualifies as a KSE?

Educational or networking events that provide practical, on-farm guidance on eligible BMPs. Participation in a KSE is required for farmers receiving OFCAF cost-share funding.

Events must include at least 30 minutes on one or more of:

  • Nitrogen management
  • Cover cropping
  • Rotational grazing

Funding details:

  • Up to 100% cost-share
  • Up to $10,000 per event
  • Up to $50,000 per organization per program year

Review the Program Guide for further details on eligible activities, costs and the application process. For questions, email kse@ontariosoilcrop.org.

Funding for this project has been provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS) – On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF).
