Did you hear? We’re hosting a Food for Thought Lunch & Learn series from March-May, starting this Friday, March 21st!
These Lunch & Learns will cover topics of importance to all of our networks.
Our first Lunch & Learn this Friday, March 21st at noon will focus on local food procurement.
Our speakers Jacqueline Buonocore, Amy Ford and Mark Kenny will talk about the barriers and successes they’ve experienced firsthand in/with public institutions, and how purchasing local food can strengthen community resilience, support the economy, and create sustainable food systems.
Next Friday, March 28th, we’ll look at how communities can access public lands to grow, harvest, and share food, promoting food security and sustainable practices.
Our speakers for this session are Kate Veinot, Orlando Martín López Gómez and Doug Jones.
