The Fair Finance Fund invites you to register for the upcoming Path to Purpose: Financial Management webinar series, hosted and facilitated by Carson Beauregard.

Over three lunch-and-learn sessions throughout July, the series is designed to offer essential financial knowledge and practical tools to manage and grow your farm or agri-food business effectively. Throughout these sessions, attendees will gain a strong foundation in financial planning, master bookkeeping and tax preparation, and learn from real-world financial management experiences.

Each session is free for Fair Finance Fund clients, and $10 for non-clients. A $5 discount will be applied for registrants who sign up for all 3 sessions. Read more about each session below.

Session Information

Session 1: Business Planning and Cash Flow Management
July 17th, 12pm – 1pm EST

Learn the fundamentals of financial business planning, including structuring your business, creating start-up budgets and projecting cash flows. Discover methods for tracking expenses and income while clearly separating personal and business finances. Understand the importance of regular financial reviews and creating monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to make informed decisions.

Session 2: Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation, and Creative Financing
July 24th, 12pm – 1pm EST

Explore effective bookkeeping practices and ensure all farm-related expenses are accounted for to maximize tax benefits. Prepare for tax season with organized financial documents and gain insights into creative financing options such as grants and community bonds. Learn strategies for managing debt, financing, and mitigating financial risks to secure your farm’s economic health.

Session 3: Financial Management Insights with Tony Neale from Wheelbarrow Farm
July 31st, 12pm – 1pm EST

Join Tony Neale as he shares his journey from founding Wheelbarrow Farm to managing its financial systems. Learn about the innovative use of community bonds and how his partners Debbie and Garret have helped transform their financial practices. Gain insights into how Tony adjusted marketing and sales strategies during COVID-19, the lessons learned, and the practices that have continued post-pandemic.
