Farm to Cafeteria Canada and its partners, including Sustain Ontario as well as other non-Indigenous and Indigenous organizations and school communities, are pleased to launch a four-year initiative to support Indigenous food and foodways in schools.

Made possible thanks to the funding support from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Whole Kids Foundation, The Schad Foundation and many other contributors, the initiative will support Indigenous school communities throughout the country to have more capacity to harvest, preserve, grow, and serve more Indigenous food and other nourishing food to children and youth, including harvested plants, game, and fish from nearby lands and waters, and to engage students in Indigenous foodways and gaining food skills.
