Food Secure Canada (FSC) is currently looking for 6-8 new board members for 2022-2023 who share their commitment to collaborative food systems transformation.
FSC shares: “The Board will continue to steward changes to ensure FSC’s governance is reflective of grassroots voices and the diversity of the food movement, centering Indigenous, Black, and racialized leaders, communities and policy demands; reimagining future membership and engagement; and advancing food policy to create a more healthy, just, and sustainable food system. FSC is continuing to integrate practices of anti-oppression, anti-racism and decolonization and we are seeking board members who can help support this ongoing work.”
This year, they are particularly seeking applicants who are Indigenous, and who have experience working with First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit communities. They are also seeking bilingual French-English applications as well as those based in the following geographic regions: Atlantic Coast, West Coast, The Prairies, The North, Quebec.
