Food Secure Canada (FSC) has assembled a spreadsheet tracking the development of the various food system policy proposals from those in the food movement, prompted by COVID-19.

To explore some of the innovative ideas, policies and programs, access the FSC spreadsheet here: COVID-19: Food Systems Policy Proposals from the Food Movement.

“As we move from short-term responses towards food system transformation this spreadsheet – covering issues from poverty, inclusion and labour to wider food systems change, and with a federal focus – is meant to be a resource for civil society organizations working in policy advocacy,” FSC shares.

They will be hosting an upcoming webinar, Food Policy and COVID-19: from short-term response to food system transformation, on Thursday, April 16, at 3 p.m. EDT.

In addition, FSC has compiled a list of what food organizations need across the country and how they can be supported: https://foodsecurecanada.org/covid-spreadsheet

The newly-launched Food Communities Network has also put together a useful resource, COVID 19 & Food: a space for sharing tools and information.
