Food Secure Canada (FSC) and Meal Exchange have partnered to bring their national conferences together for the first time this November in Montréal.

Meal Exchange’s National Student Food Summit will take place on November 1-5, while FSC’s National Assembly, Resetting the Table, is November 1-4.

Student participants can attend the Summit and Assembly with a special 5-day pass.

The aim is to encourage and increase student & youth engagement in the food movement, and build relationships between students and members of the broader food system.

Meal Exchange’s Summit “brings together student leaders from campuses across the country to learn about campus food systems, build networks with passionate student leaders, strategize to bring an end to student food insecurity and develop tangible skills to carry out this work on campus.”

Early bird registration is available for the National Student Food Summit until August 31, 2018.

FSC’s 10th Assembly, hosted by the Concordia Food Coalition and Concordia University, “will bring together Canada’s brightest food thinkers and most innovative organizations to share and develop practical solutions to national and global issues related to food – climate, equity, health and sustainability.” A schedule of the Assembly is available on the FSC website.
