Do you know a passionate individual who is dedicated to grassroots activism and working to build a more just and sustainable food system? Nominate them for the 2018 Cathleen Kneen Award by September 5, 2018!

Every two years, Food Secure Canada (FSC) gives out this award to recognize vision, leadership and a commitment to grassroots activism in building a more just and ecological food system.

The award will be presented this year at Food Secure Canada’s Assembly at Concordia University in Montreal, taking place November 1-4, 2018 (early-bird registration for the Assembly is open until July 15).

For more information on the Cathleen Kneen Award and nominee criteria, visit the Food Secure Canada website here.

The FSC website shares, “Cathleen Kneen taught that understanding a food system means listening to those most oppressed by it, because they see from underneath how it is constructed and can offer a progressive vision for its transformation. Leadership from the ground up is key to long-lasting, effective work for just and sustainable food systems.”
