This food ordering App gives back! Feedback allows you to access great food at very low prices during off-peak hours to help reduce food waste and give back! Read up on what Feedback does below- all information has been taken from their website.

This three-step process works like this:

Place your order: Browse the app for time-specific deals from Toronto’s best restaurants ( up to 80% off!)

Pick up your Food: Head to the restaurant at the pickup window time and show your e-recipient.

Enjoy! You will enjoy the food you picked up as your helped to promote food sustainability and provide a meal for somone else in need.

Feedback was co-founded by Josh and Ben Walter’s, two cousins who share the same passion and beliefs about sustainability and the fact that hard work and innovation can lead to long-term change! They initiated the idea after visiting a pizza shop and being offered free pizzas that would have otherwise been thrown out as it was closing soon. They realized after speaking to restaurant owners it was clear there was no incentive for an effective method to reduce this waste yet. Voila- Feedback App!

Feedback has partnered with a number of amazing organizations such as Feed it Forward, Second Harvest Food Rescue and the Parkdale Community Foodbank. They work with these organizations to combat food insecurity, reduce food waste and give back to local communities!

What are these three organizations?

Feed it Forward: Feed it Forward is run by Chef Jagger Gordon and its mission is to help Canadians who are in need of assistance to secure nutritious food and regular balanced meals by donating people’s unused and unsold food that would otherwise go to landfills.

Second Harvest Food Rescue is the largest food rescue organization in Canada. It works from a supply chain from farmer to retail to gain surplus food before it goes into landfills. They reduce the food that would be lost and wasted as well as ensure that people have access to healthy and good food.

Parkdale Community Food Bank is a grassroots organization that was founded by volunteers in 2007. The last ten tears it’s mission has been to provide food for those in need, the hungry and the impoverished.
