- Engage farmland owners who are non-farmers in active use of their land for agricultural purposes
- Create partnerships and outreach that result in on-the ground farm stewardship in the region.
Farms at Work is a project on Tides Canada’s shared platform, which supports on-the-ground efforts to create uncommon solutions for the common good.
Farms at Work offers the following:
- Skills-Building Workshops: A wide variety of skills-building workshops for new and transitioning farmers from all levels of experience
- Field Courses: These are curriculum-based, multi-day training programs in which expert farmers and trainers work with small groups of beginner farmers throughout a farming season.
- Business Planning Program: A tailored workshop series designed to guide participants in turning their farm business vision into a concrete business plan – including production, marketing, human resources, financial planning and projections.
