Kids’ Growing City is offering a 3-part online School Garden Workshop for teachers, on October 16, 18, 20 at 3 p.m. EST, led by founder and director Leila Mireskandari.

The workshop will reveal Leila’s best practices and discovered secrets through her years of experience in building successful, sustainable school gardens, and smooth-running food-growing programs that have curriculum connections.

Leila says the workshop will bust some myths, boost your confidence (backed with knowledge and skills) and show you how to avoid mistakes that create too much work for teachers, too much dependence on parents, a lack of engagement, and ultimately abandoned school gardens.

The Kids’ Growing City workshop will focus on getting students involved in the work, while creating a program that is engaging, empowering and inclusive. Leila has achieved this in over 10 schools, with minimum time and a minimum budget.

The 3-part workshop costs $97. For more information and to register, visit the Kids’ Growing City website here.
