The Bring Food Home planning committee is now accepting abstracts for the 2017 Conference Program.

You can submit your session abstract online now! We will be accepting abstracts until June 2nd 2017

As the 5th biennial conference, upstream collaboration will build on the exceptional success of the past Bring Food Home gatherings to once again offer captivating speakers, thought-provoking and resource-packed sessions, interactive local tours, and countless opportunities to connect with others from across Ontario and beyond.

Upstream Collaboration will acknowledgement the work and innovation being done in local food systems in Ontario.  This theme acknowledges our collective need to bring together diverse sectors to generate action on food and farm issues, as well as the need to ask and answer tough questions about these issues. We will collaborate as an Ontario community to work on issues and grow stronger together. From food policy and supporting local business to food justice and the environment, the 2017 program will cover a diverse range of topics and make space for new and ongoing conversations. Over the three days, we will break down barriers, forge new alliances and support each other in working together for a better future.

The topics for Bring Food Home: Upstream Collaboration are organized by the following 7 program streams:

  1. Farming and Farmland
  2. Food Waste
  3. Sustainable Food Enterprise
  4. Municipal Food Policy
  5. Community Growing
  6. Food Justice
  7. Edible Education
