Black Creek Community Farm is hosting a Vermicomposting workshop on January 28th from 1pm-3pm. Learn how worms can help you transform your kitchen waste into fertilizer! You’ll be able to build your own worm bin and get started right away.

Vermicomposting using worms to break down organic waste (kitchen scraps). It is a great way to make your own fertilizer for indoor or outdoor plants. At the workshop you’ll learn the basics of vermicomposting, constructing a worm bin, and even be given some worms to start!

Costs:

  • FREE for those who just want the hands-on workshop (please register)
  • $20 to build a rubbermaid worm bin (includes bin, setup and a supply of worms)
  • $50 Tiger Wormery bin (retails for over $90 – limited quantity)
