Join us for shaping the future of Sustain Ontario! We are hosting 4 network meetings to re-create, define, and determine upcoming priorities of both new and existing networks.
Our current networks include:
- Farmland and Agriculture Network: farming and agriculture organizations coming together to share ideas and knowledge and to craft responses to emerging policy issues.
- Municipal Regional Food Policy Network: brings together planners, community organizers, public health professionals, farmers and food policy advocates to share ideas and knowledge in order to influence policy at the municipal or regional level.
- Ontario Community Garden Network: brings together a variety of gardens and urban agriculture projects across the province.
- *New* Sustainable Food Enterprise Network: brings together people working at each level of the supply chain to bring local sustainable food products to Ontario’s tables. The network will tackle barriers to financial sustainability in the local food sector, and explore innovative approaches to growing local food and farming businesses.
- *New* Ontario Food Justice Network: bringing together a variety of organizations across the food movement working on food justice issues across the province with a specific focus on urban agriculture.
Network meetings are open to everyone who is interested in being a part of a Ontario wide collaborative. If you are currently in one of our networks or interested in joining, it is important to join the upcoming network meetings. At the meeting we will be determining the description of the networking, setting goals for 2017, and determining potential workshops or sessions for our upcoming conference Bring Food Home in Ottawa in 2017.
Please register for the meeting online. Due to limited spots, we ask that individuals from the same organization to please share one device to allow more organizations to attend. Stay tuned for more details to come out within the upcoming weeks.
