Pitch Your Food Research at CAFS Pre-Conference June 21

This year the Canadian Assocition for Food Studies Pre-Conference for Students, Post-Docs and Emerging Scholars includes a a special Research Fair and Poster Session, a space for researchers to pitch their latest projects with brief presentations and posters.
If you are interested in participating, you must submit a completed submission form by Sunday April 17th. If your submission is accepted, a PDF of your poster must be submitted by May 1.
The pre-conference will focus on the challenges of research in food sector, provide career guidance to emerging researchers in food studies, and include opportunities for networking. Registration is open now.
The CAFS Pre-Conference takes place prior to Scarborough Fare: Global Foodways and Local Foods in a Transnational City June 22-25, 2016. This year’s focus is on the changing nature of food production, distribution, and consumption as people, goods, foods along with culinary and agricultural knowledge move across cultural and national borders.
Scarborough Fare will be held University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and is organized jointly by Canadian Association for Food Studies (CAFS); the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society (AFHVS), and the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS).
