Are you involved in the creation of healthy food environments? This workshop organized by the Nutrition Resource Centre is designed for you!

Location: Chestnut Conference Centre (Giovanni Room), Toronto
The goal of the workshop is to create healthier food environments across Ontario by sharing knowledge, resources and tools to build capacity for research, policy and action at the local community level among health promotion professionals and community partners.
Participatory and interactive workshop activities ensure you will be able to apply the knowledge and skills you gain in your own community. Be prepared to be open to sharing your experiences and to learn from others. Participants will also “sleuth the food environment” by taking a field trip to a nearby retail food outlet to assess the health of the local food environment.

- The latest food environment research and initiatives to highlight opportunities for policy and projects to improve the food environment
- How to engagein municipal planning, partnerships and the policy process
- Tools and resources that will help you take action in your community
