BFH Program Streams Announced: Apply to be a Session Coordinator by July 15th!

The Bring Food Home planning committee is now receiving Session Proposals for the 2015 Conference Program.

As the 4th biennial conference, Digging Deeper will build on the exceptional success of the past Bring Food Home gatherings to once again offer captivating speakers, thought-provoking and resource-packed sessions, interactive local tours, and countless opportunities to connect with others from across Ontario and beyond. We are inviting individuals and organizations to help shape the program by becoming session coordinators. These coordinators will work with the program committee to recruit speakers and outline the important conversations that will inform the next steps for sustainable food systems work in Ontario.
The proposed topics for Bring Food Home: Digging Deeper are organized by the following 6 program streams:
- Local Food Economies
- Agriculture and the Environment
- Food Access and Justice
- Health Promotion
- Building Our Capacity
- Children, Youth, and Food
Guiding Program Principles for Bring Food Home 2015
● Focus on systems level change and solutions.
● ‘Dig deeper’ by asking critical questions about proposed solutions.
● Host conversations with a diversity of perspectives (sector/geography.)
● Showcase Northern Ontario while maintaining a provincial scope.
● Connect people across sectors, including anyone interested change from different perspectives.
Submit your session proposals by July 15th, 2015.
