The National Farmers Union has prepared and distributed the following fact sheet in response to the privatization of the Canadian Wheat Board. (See “Ottawa privatizes wheat board in deal with G3 Global Grain Group.” Financial Post, 15 April 2015). From the National Farmers Union:
The National Farmers Union has prepared a one-page document to highlight key differences between the farmer-controlled single desk Canadian Wheat Board and the privatized version that was handed over to G3, a partnership between the Saudi investment fund, SALIC, and Bunge, the US-based multinational grain company.
