foodiepagesFoodiePages.ca is seeking a is a Community Manager & Local Food Advocate for Toronto.  FoodiePages.ca maintains a digital marketplace for 150 independent food and drink producers across Canada in an effort to increase and promote local food purchasing.  While working directly with the CEO and Founder, the successful applicant should expect to be “managing customer feedback, bringing new food makers (farmers, bakers, chefs, etc.) into the Foodie Pages community, and leading social media and email marketing campaigns” (Original job posting).  Please find the full responsibilities and qualifications below.  If you have any further questions please direct them to Erin  erin@foodiepages.ca.

 

Major Responsibilities
• Manage inbound food producers interest and work with new food producers to launch their products into the marketplace.
• Provide support to existing food producers and customers. Respond to emails and support issues promptly.
• Spread Foodie Pages and local food love by leading development of exciting blog and social web content.
• Monitor social media channels and actively participate in Canadian and local food discussions across communities, social networks and blogs.
• Various administrative and operational tasks.

Required Qualifications
• Outstanding people skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using social media tools in a professional context
• Experience working in food processing or agriculture industries
• Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or similar is a plus
