The 33rd Annual 2014 Guelph Organic Conference, “Catching the Wave”, is taking place Thursday, January 30 to Sunday, February 2, 2014. This annual event is a central gathering for Canada’s organic food and farming movement, providing a surplus of educational and networking opportunities. Join the conference as a volunteer to get into the thick of the action!

If you’re interested in volunteering for the 2014 Guelph Organic Conference, please visit the Conference website (www.guelphorganicconf.ca) and access the “Please Volunteer” tab.  General information is available under the first link and an application form under the second link.

The conference is seeking volunteers for all days – particularly Saturday and Sunday for a variety of duties. Experienced Audio/Visual personnel are a particular need.  The Conference’s AV technician, Alex Ricci, describes the duties as the following:

“A/V volunteers will be responsible for assisting presenters in setting up for PowerPoint presentations by linking computers to projectors, connecting sound equipment and microphones, and in between sessions, supervising the equipment. They will solve simple technical issues while being friendly and helpful to presenters, allowing them to relax before their session.”

If you have any questions, please contact the volunteer coordinator Kerry Brookes  at volunteergoc@bell.net .
