Update (October 11th): Regrettably, this webinar has been cancelled due to low advanced registration. We encourage you to continue to share your farm-to-school successes, challenges, and questions via social media and by emailing kids@sustainontario.ca . We look forward to running more interactive events in the future to grow farm-to-school connections in Ontario.

With Ontario’s Farm to School Challenge well on its way, we invite you to join us for a second webinar on October 15th at 3:30pm. We will address barriers to implementation and possible solutions to challenges faced thus far. It will be a great opportunity to brainstorm and share farm to school ideas with one another. Presenters include Erin Beagle, Program Coordinator at Roots to Harvest (Thunder Bay), and Gayle Cruikshank, Executive Director at Halton Food for Thought (Burlington), who will discuss how their organizations integrate student nutrition with community initiatives. Attendees will also hear from Cathy O’Connor from Dietitians of Canada with an update about the Fresh from the Farm fundraising project. After hearing from our presenters the session will then open the floor to let you share your ideas, questions, and experiences.

REGISTER today!

Feedback from the first webinar

“Great to learn about resources and ways to engage more local food in our Student Nutrition Program and great opportunity to learn about different food procurement and delivery models!”

“Great description of project process, resources by people actually involved in project.”
