We have extended the deadline to respond to our ‘Help Define “Local” Food’ survey. You now have until Friday, September 20th, to tell us what you think should be considered in the definition of “local” food.

This survey is designed to empower Sustain Ontario to accurately represent our members’ views to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during the food labelling review process. The CFIA extended their official consultation deadline to September 27th, allowing more people to contribute their opinions and experiences. Please complete the survey to the best of your knowledge, and provide brief written feedback where you think it would be helpful. The answers you provide will form the basis of the feedback that we offer to CFIA on their role as it relates to defining “local.”

Fill out the survey.

Visit the survey page for more background information and details about the CFIA’s food labelling review process. Preliminary community feedback has been contributed in the comments section as well.
