Consumers define “local food”

Florida is considered the state with the greatest diversity in southeastern US with regards to what people would call local food. It is just like Ontario that tops Canada in agri-food production diversity and processing.
Researchers from the University of Florida showed that Florida consumers are committed to, and at the same time confused over local food like Canadians. Consumers don’t want someone else to tell them what is local, rather they want to define it themselves.
