There are two pollination events coming up this April.

Pollination Guelph will be holding it’s annual Pollination Symposium on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 8:40am to 4pm at the Dublin St United Church in Guelph. The Canadian Pollinator Conservation 2013: Next Steps meeting will be held at the University of Toronto on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 9am to 4pm.

Pollination Guelph’s 2nd Annual Photo Contest and 2013 Pollination Symposium.

The symposium will run from 8:40am (registration start) until 4pm, with new speakers and workshops to listen to and participate in. The submission deadline for the pollinator photo contest is Sunday, March 10, 2013. Photo contest entrants are invited to submit up to 5 digital images of potential pollinators to pollinationguelph@gmail.com. Finalists will be selected by volunteer judges, and voted upon by attendees of the Pollination Symposium.

Time: Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 8:40am-4pm

Location: Dublin St United Church, 66 Suffolk St W, Guelph

Cost: $40 for pre-registration by March 27, $45 after March 27 (includes lunch)

$10 discount for students and seniors

Canadian Pollinator Conservation 2013: Next Steps meeting

This meeting will bring people together from different disciplines and organizations to answer the questions:

  • What is the status of pollinators in Canada?
  • What is being done to help at-risk pollinators?
  • What are the next steps and how can we work together to achieve them?

Time: Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 9am-4pm

Location: Room 108 Koffler House, University of Toronto

Cost: $40, includes lunch

The registration deadline is April 2, 2013.
