Sustain Ontario would like to say a big THANK YOU to all FOURTEEN Fall 2012 interns. This excellent group of people contributed many hours to Sustain’s various endeavours. Each intern brought a unique set of skills and all are commended for their quality of character, outstanding work ethic, and passion for food and farming issues.
In particular, we’d like to thank: Mika Harris for her work compiling important needs assessment information for the Children and Youth Food Network; Christine Patton for her leadership in developing a Bring Food Home sponsorship plan; Elena Hall for putting her webinar wizardry and fantastic facilitation skills to use for the Ontario Community Garden Network and Farm Cafeteria Canada; Geraldine Dempsey for braving complex issues and new technologies with the Are We Too Chicken? campaign, Hillary Barter for her meticulous mobile meat research; Jennifer Kucharczyk for her dazzling design skills; Jon Gowing for discovering the secret to our mystery video; Josie Difelice for keeping our communication clean and clever; Karen Nguyen for the time she devoted to Sustain Ontario’s strategic planning process, Luyi Yang for her brainy business planning as our social enterprise intern; Nida Khan for the support she offered the Bring Food Home working groups, Nicole Norris for wading through wads of OFNS feedback; Sahar Ghafouri-Bakhsh for creating a foundation for our financial sustainability planning, and Sarah Chu for her work on government relations and the policies from the field.
We look forward to working further with those who are continuing on with us and we wish those who are moving on to other things all the best in your future.
