The Guelph Organic Conference Small-Scale Dairy Networking Room is being held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 12 – 1 p.m. in room UC334. This is an important topic, as the demand for sustainably produced artisan dairy products has not yet been met by the supply, so more dialogue regarding this topic is needed to encourage new entrants and strengthen the network.

Current and aspiring processors, farmers, and consumers will have an opportunity to learn more about what’s involved in this niche production, and the consumer choice, food quality, and community benefits that it entails. A 30-minute panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer period and networking opportunities.

To participate in this free event, contact Kate Willison: kmwillison@gmail.com

Panelists: Ruth Klahsen, owner/lead cheesemaker, Monforte; Phillip Wilman, Raw Milk Specialist, OMAFRA; Patrick Groenewegen, Limestone Organic Creamery.
