After a highly successful event last year, the bilingual Eastern Ontario Local Food Conference is being offered once again this year on November 22, 2012 at the University of Guelph Kemptville Campus.
There is less than a week left to take advantage of the early bird registration rate, which has been extended until November 12. Participants will have the opportunity to network with local food practitioners, share technical information to help build the local food sector and address challenges specific to the local food movement in Eastern Ontario.
This year’s theme is “Collaborating for Success”. The keynote address, “The Value Chain Model and Profitability” will be given by Terry Ackerman, a consultant to food companies on topics ranging from operations, organization development, marketing, sales, product development and distribution.
