FoodNet Ontario (FNO) has created an impressive web portal that is a great online resource centre for anyone interested in community food security and local sustainable food systems.  Their web portal provides links to a wide range of tools and educational resources, food-related programs, projects and initiatives, a calendar of upcoming events and more.

To learn more about FNO’s web portal, you can register here for their upcoming webinar on Monday, March 12th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The session will be led by Lorna McCue of FoodNet Ontario.

FoodNet Ontario (FNO) is a growing network of 400 organizations and individuals who are working towards a food secure Ontario. Its goal is to increase the capacity of organizations and communities across Ontario to create and strengthen sustainable local food systems and achieve community food security.  Its goal is to support a province-wide network to increase the capacity of Ontario communities to provide access to safe, affordable, nutritious and culturally appropriate food by:

·          bringing people, ideas and resources together
·          facilitating communication and collaboration among organizations
·          educating the public and key decision-makers about community food security
·          promoting best practices

Membership is free, and members of FoodNet Ontario are able to add upcoming events to the FNO calendar of events, upload a description of their programs, projects, or initiatives and share their resources.
