The Planet in Focus 12th Annual Environmental Film Festival is fast approaching!

Sustain Ontario is pleased to be co-presenting the films Enjoy Your Meal! and The Past As Future on October 15th at the Royal Ontario Museum. To view the trailer or buy tickets please visit the Planet in Focus website.

Taking a gourmet dinner party as its launching point, Enjoy Your Meal! follows each course through the food chain to discover the origin and local impact of its ingredients. Expounding on the costs and consequences concealed by grocery store packaging, the film ventures beyond the ecological implications of mass production to examine how the conditions of production affect local businesses, population health and cultural sustainability.

While advocating conscientious consumerism, Enjoy Your Meal! acknowledges the minefield of ethical dilemmas connected to it.

Seeking self-sufficiency, Stijn decides he would rather herd sheep than be one. The Past As Future profiles the alternative lifestyle he has carved out for himself as a young shepherd in the modern world.
