The Permaculture Project GTA (TPPGTA), an organization and permaculture hub based in the GTA, committed to community transformation and sustainability is pleased to partner with RainBarrels.ca. Together they will be hosting a large scale community Rain Barrel sale on May 21st and May 22nd with over 300 discounted barrels up for grabs! All sale proceeds will go directly to the TPPGTA’s efforts to continue building sustainable programming in permaculture education.
Rain barrels capture and store rain water collected from roofs through downspouts. They provide chlorine-free and fluoride-free water which is ideal for flowers, vegetables, lawns, shrubs and trees. Rain barrels divert clean water from sewer systems and can provide cost savings for homeowners who currently pay to have water trucked in or who have a water meter installed.
Each rain barrel available through the TPPGTA is discounted and available for $60 (inclusive of HST). The barrel is equipped with a mosquito and leaf debris filter basket, an overflow hose, an outlet to join rain barrels together in series and a spigot at the bottom which can be connected to a standard garden hose. These environmentally friendly products were once used to import fruits and vegetables and have been refurbished and repurposed to offer years of reliable service as rain barrels. All orders must be placed online in advance at www.RainBarrel.ca/permaculture or by calling 647-703-6190. Upon ordering, present your receipt at one of two pick up locations in Toronto and Brampton. Details are listed below.
Toronto Pick Up: Saturday May 21st from 11-1pm. (Proof of Payment Required) – Location: TPPGTA Office Space, 358 Dufferin Street, Toronto, ON M6K 1Z8
