Demand for local food is on the rise. To meet this increased demand, independent and organic farmers will need to aggregate and distribute their produce efficiently. Regional food hubs are helping farmers do just that. However, they currently lack the necessary technology to expand operations. Derek Singleton of Software Advice, a website that compares food distributor software, recently wrote an article that offers a few suggestions on which technology applications will help food hubs operate more efficiently.
