From Sustain Ontario Member, the SmartAPPetite Project:

SmartAPPetite logoSmartAPPetite, a collaborative and community-based project, is hosting its first of several workshops at The Arts & Cookery Bank in West Lorne on April 10th.

SmartAPPetite is a collaborative and community-based project with an aim to support local food economies & improve access to healthy food in Southwestern Ontario through the use of a smartphone application, an ‘app’, and a complimentary interactive website.  We would like to learn how this technology can benefit local communities from ‘field-to-fork’, from local farmer, producer, retailer, restaurant, to end user.  Workshops, throughout various locations in Southwestern Ontario, will ask: ‘how should an ‘app’ and an interactive website be developed to be of maximum benefit to local food providers, local economies, & end users?’

The SmartAPPetite team invites you to join in the conversation on April 10th and throughout the project.  Share your feedback at each event.  The workshops are free and, along with an exchange of ideas, light refreshments will be provided.

Register for the event here: https://smartappetiteworkshop.eventbrite.ca.  Please feel free to invite other local farmers & businesses that might benefit from this event.

More information about the project can be found at: www.smartappetite.ca

SmartAPP looks forward to seeing you on April 10th and throughout the spring months.  If you cannot make it, but would like to share your feedback or receive more information, please email us at smartappetite@uwo.ca.
