Meet the Speakers:

Sarah English – Sierra Youth Coalition: Sarah, born and raised in the Ottawa area, completed a Bachelor’s Degree of Environmental Studies in urban design and environmental planning at the University of Waterloo. After completing several co-op placements with environmental NGOs and government departments, she became engaged in the environmental movement and has never looked back.

Caitlin Colson – Meal Exchange: Caitlin graduated with a Masters in Philosophy from York University, after which she began working with Meal Exchange on various projects – including an in-depth feasibility study to determine how the work of food policy councils can be adapted to a campus setting. The study supported the development of the Campus Food Systems Project, which she coordinates in partnership with the Sierra Youth Coalition. As part of this initiative Caitlin has also developed the framework for and facilitated the development of the first ever National Student Food Charter.
