Toronto Urban Growers has announced that the City of Toronto declared September 8-16 as Urban Agriculture Week this year, with 9 days of exciting events happening across the city!

The week will launch on Saturday, Sept. 8 with the GrowTO Fair at Regent Park (620 Dundas St. E.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair will have vendors featuring urban-grown products and services, information tables and demonstrations for the DIY urban grower, and the Best in GrowTO competition.  For those interested in entering the contest, learn more here.

The GrowTO Fair is also seeking volunteers. Anyone interested can sign up here.

For updates on the fair and all of the other Urban Ag events happening throughout the week, be sure to visit the Urban Ag Week website.

The week will see various garden tours, harvest parties, workshops and urban-focused tasting menus celebrate the diversity of food grown in the city and the people who grow it!
