Community Food Centres Canada is hosting a free 12-week program in Toronto called FoodFit for those in the community looking to invest in their health and learn new cooking skills.

The program is aimed at helping participants develop nutritional literacy skills, appreciate the link between health and physical activity, learn how to cook healthily on a budget, and work towards better food habits in general.

The weekly meetings are roughly 3 hours in length, with the first hour spent on a light activity (e.g. a half hour walk) and round-table discussion on a weekly nutrition topic. The rest of the program is a group cooking and eating experience.

The next group begins August 23rd at Scadding Court Community Centre, 707 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON
