Farewell & Thank You to Phil Groff

After three vibrant years, Phil Groff is moving on from his pivotal role in leading Sustain Ontario as our Executive Director.
Phil brought nearly fifteen years of not-for-profit senior leadership experience to Sustain Ontario when he ambitiously took the wheel in June of 2015, while we were weathering through significant changes, including becoming our own independent not-for-profit.
During this time, Phil offered a steady hand and his invaluable expertise through many crucial changes: recruiting a new board of directors, developing governance structures and organizational policies, offering financial and legal support, all the while, of course, guiding the various projects, programs, working groups and events during that time — including our biennial Bring Food Home conference in both Sudbury 2015 and Ottawa last year.
We will miss Phil’s energy and guidance greatly, and thank him for his wonderful leadership and contributions through these three busy, spirited years. Please join us in wishing Phil all the best in his future endeavours!
