OMAFRA is pleased to host the 2018 Small Ruminant Research Forum. This is a great opportunity to showcase, network, and collaborate with other researchers, industry representatives, stakeholders, and government specialist.

Registration:
If you are interested in sharing, collaborating, networking, or learning about research in the small ruminant sectors in Ontario register today! Registration is free, but space is limited so sign up early!

Registration deadline is May 01, 2018.

Student Poster Competition:
Students are invited to apply to the poster contest.

Submission:
Poster abstracts with a maximum of 300 words should be emailed to Santiago Palacio at Santiago.palacio@ontario.ca
Submission date extended – Wednesday April 18 by 4:00pm.

Abstracts must include:

  • project title
  • All authors and their affiliations
  • Clearly identify the presenting author
  • a brief explanation of the project
  • why the project is important
  • what the specific benefit of the project has been/could be
  • who has benefited or is expected to benefit from this research

Notification:
A review committee will select abstracts for poster display and notification of acceptance with poster guidelines will occur by e-mail by April 16, 2018 (Date extended to April 23, 2018).

Guidelines:

  • Posters must address research in the sheep and/or goats sector.
  • Posters must not exceed 36″ x 48″ size (landscape format)
  • For information on how to create a good scientific poster follow the links 1 and/or 2.
  • Target audience are other researchers, industry representatives, and government specialist. Create your poster wit the audience in mind.
  • Posters are due to Santiago.palacio@ontario.ca on or before May 01, 2018 in PDF and PowerPoint formats.

Students – There will be prizes for the best student posters:
1st place – $250, 2nd place – $150, 3rd place – $100
