On March 8, The Honourable Jeff Leal, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, announced the release of  Bring Home the World: A Report on Ontario’s World Foods, a part of Ontario’s Local Food Strategy.  Says Leal, “Bring Home the World: A Report on World Foods identifies opportunities for growing, harvesting and purchasing world foods across Ontario. It also supports a path forward for our agri-food sector to expand the diversity of locally grown and served foods. Ontario’s rich and diverse culture has roots from more than 200 countries around the world. By increasing consumers’ access to a wider variety of world food offerings grown and made locally in Ontario, we are supporting and celebrating our province’s growing cultural diversity.”
