If your school is looking for a fresh take on fundraising, there’s still time to enroll in Fresh from the Farm, the healthy fundraiser for Ontario schools that sells local produce.

While raising money for your school, you promote healthy eating habits among students! Interested Ontario schools must enroll by October 2nd for the November delivery.

Since Fresh from the Farm first started in 2013, 665 schools in Ontario have sold over 1.6 million pounds of fresh Ontario fruit and vegetables, raising over $625,000 for their schools. It’s the win-win-win of fundraisers: nutritious for students, beneficial for schools, and supportive of local food & farmers.

  • Fruit and vegetable products are supplied by growers throughout various regions of Ontario.
  • Schools make 40% of the profit on sales. Based on the past few years, the average school has raised almost $1,000.

Visit the Fresh from the Farm website here for more information and to enroll your school.

Fresh from the Farm is a collaborative initiative between the Ontario Ministry of Education, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association, and Dietitians of Canada.
