The Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC) is holding a conference at the Chestnut Conference Centre, on November 9, 2017. The conference will explore answers to the following questions:

  • What do we know about the link between nutrition and mental health?
  • Why are diet and nutrition important for mental health promotion?
  • Why is mental health important for optimal nutrition?

Join nutrition and mental health professionals from across Ontario to learn and discuss why nutrition and mental health need each other. This is also an opportunity to learn about the latest science on the incredibly complex relationship between nutrition and mental health, as well as what the science is saying. Be inspired by moving personal stories and hear about the experiences of your colleagues that are incorporating nutrition mental health promotion into their practises and daily work.

As per their website, the NRC, funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, has operated under the Ontario Public Health Association since 1999 and is one of 14 health promotion resource centres in Ontario. Their mission is to strengthen the capacity of health promotion professionals and community partners involved in healthy eating and nutrition across the health continuum.
