Food Secure Canada and its hosting partners are Resetting the Table in Toronto October 13-16, 2016, and from now until July 15, you can save $100 with Early Bird Registration.   This 9th Annual National Assembly has a place for everyone with 50+ skill-building workshops, tours, keynotes and networking opportunities.

A one-page program overview will give you a bird’s eye view of the schedule.  You’re sure to find your place at the table among the 7 core streams shaping content for the four-day conference:

Healthy School Food:  What’s for Lunch? – Explore the challenges faced by school food programs across Canada and how are people resolving them?

Northern and Indigenous Food Sovereignty – Learn about what is working in communities and nations across Canada to ensure that people get enough healthy and traditional food to eat.

Food Justice Affects Us All – Examine tools, programs and practices that are helping to address inequity and food justice in food systems and in the organizations / businesses we are building

Local Food Economies:  Procurement, Infrastructure, Hubs – Discover creative ways to localize our food systems.

Climate Change, Food and Waste – Explore innovative food system practices and programs addressing climate change and consider how we support the next generation in their responsible food citizenship.

Global Food System:  Canadian Connections – Learn the latest about what is happening in international food policy discussion and action.

Other Key Food Issues – One extra basket to bring together many critical issues not covered in the other streams.

The assembly is the collaborative work of partners, presenters, organizers, and stakeholders from the across the food system.  In addition to participants, there is a growing list of sponsors for Resetting the Table who are making an investment in the future of food in Canada.  There are more sponsor opportunities for businesses and organizations that want to be part of the change.  Volunteers also play a pivotal role in conference success.  Consider joining the 2016 FSC Assembly Volunteer Team!
