Calling teachers, students, educators and growers.  Get inspired this planting season with teacher and  Global Teacher Prize 2015  finalist, Stephen Ritz, on May 16 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.   FoodShare Toronto welcomes Stephen who will talk about the Green Bronx Machine and how it is transforming students’ lives through experiential education and access to fresh, school-grown food.  The free event, sponsored by LoyaltyOne will be held in FoodShare Toronto Auditorium at 90 Croatia St. (entrance on Brock St.)

This fall, FoodShare, in partnership with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and LoyaltyOne will be bringing Good Food Machines to schools across Toronto to support local food production in school gardens.

Stephen is a teacher in New York’s South Bronx where he and his kids grow lush gardens the provide food, green space and employment.
