OCTA Logo MainThe Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance (OCTA), a Sustain Ontario member, is looking for a new Special Projects Developer to develop an enhanced Feast ON program for festivals, events and experiences. Job Specifics: This is a 5-month contract position (March 31, 2015) based out of the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance office located at 41 Britain Street, Suite 303 Toronto, Ontario.

Description: The Special Projects Developer will work with senior members of the OCTA team to develop an enhanced Feast ON program for festivals, events and experiences.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Industry and public outreach
  • Research
  • Program development
  • Partnership development
  • Sales

 

Primary Objectives:

  • To build program criteria with grassroots support from the tourism, festivals and events industry
  • To ensure that program objectives and benefits are communicated directly to stakeholders in a positive and consistent manner
  • To work with a network of similar and like-minded organizations and industry individuals to develop program partnerships
  • To educate the industry and consumer about the availability and seasonality of Ontario foods and beverage

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate meetings/interviews with industry stakeholders
  • Research best practices
  • Apply research and industry consultation input to formalize program(s) and program criteria
  • Facilitate program development workshops
  • Communicate program information and benefits to industry
  • Implement the program(s)
