FarmStart is a young, dynamic and exciting organization based in Guelph that provides services and programs to encourage a new generation of ecological entrepreneurial farms. Through their Start-Up Farms programs, FarmStart works directly with new farmers, providing them with land, infrastructure, mentorship, and small amounts of seed capital to start a viable small scale farm business.
FarmStart is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to work with the Program Manager to develop and manage their Start-Up Farms in Brampton and Hamilton, along with their Seed Capital Program.
The work will involve on-farm practical, technical coordination along with program and financial management. The Program Coordinator will be expected to facilitate and set up clear communication between farmers, as well as outreach, promotion and partnership development. The position also involves handling cross-cultural and inter-personal relationships and occasionally conflict resolution.
