Payment Policies

Membership Refund Policy

All approved payment transactions for membership (including Supporter Circle Groups and Individuals) are final sale. Exceptions are made for rejected membership applications and accidental duplicate online payments for which refund requests must be initiated within 10 business days from day of payment.

A member’s main contact may elect to cancel their organization’s membership at any time but no refund will be granted. Intention to cancel membership must be sent in writing to the Director of Sustain Ontario. By cancelling membership, all membership benefits are immediately forfeited for the organization and all of the personal contact records solely connected to the organization in Sustain Ontario’s Membee database.

A member may request a record of their payment history at any time. Clearance is required by a member’s main contact if a different contact is requesting the record.

Event Payment and Refund Policy

Event registration fees must be paid for online using PayPal unless other payment options are explicitly stated on the event registration page. Refunds will not be issued for webinar registration except in the case of event cancellation.

Registrants unable to attend the event in question may send a substitute. If the substitute is not a member, the non-member fee will be required. Registrants unable to attend may also request a full credit to the purchaser’s account to be applied to future Sustain Ontario event registrations. Credit requests must be sent in writing to the Director of Sustain Ontario at least 24 hours before the event.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that they do not doubly register any attendee.

Registration fees to special events and conferences may be subject to different payment policies such as cheque service charges and refunds subject to administration fees. These policies will be clearly indicated or linked to on the specific event registration page.
