Our Food Initiatives Greenhouse is now open! The Greenhouse is a growing collection of community-vetted food strategies, tools, and tactics organized by initiative where you can learn, share and help cultivate resources for food and farming.

The site was soft-launched earlier this summer, and now it is equipped with abundant resources and dynamic functions.  Currently, five of the seven initiative areas are launched fully including: local sustainable procurement, food waste, evaluating food initiatives, food systems framework, and food literacy. The greenhouse is a unique online resource portal with targeted research focusing on key topic areas.  It allows the wider food and farming community to share resources and to cultivate an online sharing network to advance food and farming systems in Ontario.

Participate in our greenhouse by sharing your own resources or resources that you believe are vital to food and farming in Ontario! Commenting on resources will help others know what you like about certain resources and how it helped advance projects in your region!

Stay tuned as new initiatives like farmland preservation and urban agriculture launch within the next few months!
