Toronto’s newest signature food festival has arrived! The 1st Annual Feast of the St. Lawrence Festival will take place from August 12 – August 14.
The event kicks off on Friday with the exclusive Dinner Under the Stars for two hundred guests. The dinner will feature a 5-course meal curated and prepared by some of Toronto’s best chefs and accompanied by a 20 piece jazz band. Participating restaurants include: Biff’s Bistro, Pearl Diver, Omni King Edward Hotel, Barsa Taberna, Woods, The Hot House Restaurant, and The Sultan’s Tent. Purchase your tickets in the knowledge that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to FoodShare. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
The fun continues on Saturday with the St. Lawrence Market Street Celebration featuring outdoor food stalls, fresh farm produce, canning sessions, and live entertainment. Enjoy a meal on one of the extended patio’s on Market Street while bopping to the tunes of Beatle’s cover band The Rattles.
Bring the entire family on Sunday for games and activities in St. James Park. Visit FoodShare’s Mobile Good Food Market and grab a fresh, healthy snack, or make a smoothie at their Smoothie Bicycle. The Cherry St. YMCA will be running games and other fun competitions. There will also be a special puppet show, a button booth, face painters, a kid-friendly workshop, demonstrations by historic artisans and re-enactors, and much more!
