donmillsfoodsmallThe two Greening in Action webinars promoted earlier by Sustain Ontario are projects of Evergreen in collaboration with FoodShare Toronto and Toronto District School Board.  We erred in sharing the information as news from Toronto Urban Growers.

The webinar series features inspiring greening stories from two Toronto secondary schools that have engaged students in innovative hands-on projects to transform their schools into an urban oasis with unique learning opportunities.  On April 27, webinar participants learned about Eastdale’s Rooftop Market Garden and how underutilized roof space at an urban school was transformed into a thriving, half-acre garden that supplies the school’s culinary arts program and cafeteria.

It’s not too late to Register for the second webinar on May 3!
