tyfpclogoSustain Ontario members were among the dozens of Food Champions who met recently to discuss how to strengthen local food networks and to shape plans for the launch of Toronto’s Food by Ward on Wednesday, March 30 from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Toronto City Hall.

With leadership from the Toronto Youth Food Policy Council, Food Champions are working together to reach out to all Wards and to send a strong message to City Council about the importance of food policy, programming, and services that support local food networks and improve access to healthy food across Toronto.

The Toronto Youth Food Policy Council has created an Advocacy Tool Kit that champions can use in reaching out to Councillors and others.   Other Food by Ward resources will be available in the coming weeks.

Save the Date and plan to attend the launch of Food by Ward!
